Wish Poems

Wishes are a wonderful way to get started writing poetry! Both 5th Grade classes wrote about their real and not-so-real wishes, their wacky and silly wishes.

Lesson Note: We learned about lines and how poems are different from stories. Everyone was so excited to share their poems with the class.

I Wish

I wish I can have a lot of rods and reels

I wish I can own a lake or river

I wish I can go to the ocean to go fishing

I wish I can catch a shark

I wish I can go to Alaska

I wish I can meet Cristiano Ronaldo

I wish I could catch my biggest salmon this year

I wish I could live in Indiana so I could go fishing every day

I wish I could catch an Atlantic salmon

 

My Wacky Wishes
