Will you help us bring poets into Chicago classrooms? Hands On Stanzas scholarships are funded through a combination of grants and personal donations–and that’s why we need your support today!
The Hands On Stanzas scholarship ensures that we can offer residencies at a free and reduced rate so the program reaches where it is needed most. Budget cuts should not mean access cuts–let’s help.
Hands On Stanzas provides paid teaching opportunities to Chicago poets as well as creative, engaged, and playful literacy curriculum to Chicago students. We currently serve over 1,000 students in 16 neighborhoods. Let’s see how many more classrooms we can bring poetry into.
Will you help us spread the word? Campaigns that are at least 25% funded in the first 48 hours are much more likely to not just succeed, but hit stretch goals, too. We’ve got a waiting list of schools that would like to participate in our program–will you help us support them?
