“there, happy and they want to run” – Building Characters @ Moos Elementary

Today at Moos, we created our own characters. We read a poem called the “Dream Drum Girl” by Margarita Engel and talked about how characters have dreams, obstacles, and get help from others to achieve those dreams. We also talked about what it means to have a dream come true and how people can change and grow from it.

The Candy Girl
Betsy S.

The candy girl wanted
to make a crazy cake!!
But she didn’t have the
ingredients to do it.

So she went to wonderland,
she went to grab a
cake
candy

sparkles
mystic waves

She got everything but one:
The Enchanted Bread.

It was hard to get,
it was a long way there.

When she got the bread,
everything started to
clap ahh!!

I ran as fast
as I can.
I made it out.
I got to make
my crazy cake
yayy!!

Plants vs. Zombies
Sergio R.

There was a zombie
and it was eating people.
Then suddenly plants
save the day.
There were 8 kinds of plants.

There was a peashooter,
sunflower, cattails,
chomper, cotton,
rose corn.

And there were
8 zombie kinds.
Football, army, super brains,
engineer, pirate,
sonnets.
