The 2nd and 3rd grade girls in our after school Poetry Club are rocking this poetry thing! This week we talked about how using comparisons in our poems could help us express our feelings in new and unique ways.

I don’t like school, but this is some stuff
I like about it. People’s eyes are brown like poop.
People’s smiles are like a rainbow coming out of your mouth.
The sky is full of clouds and joy, and
The sun is like a big ball of fire.
