Body Stanzas

This week we celebrated our amazing miraculous bodies by celebrating what students thought was the most powerful part of their own. I really loved all of this week’s poems and had such a hard time picking. We had hair, feet, hands, eyes, noses, and even a cynical 4th grade heart make their way into the mix! Enjoy this week’s poems.

Dragonfly

Olivia Grace

My hair is like a dragonfly.

My hair zig-zags and looks like it does

it fast! My hair bounces up lightning-fast,

when pulled or caught.

My hair is a dragonfly because it

does what it wants, when it wants,

thinking it just pleased me.

Mi Corazon

Allison Z

Mi corazon es como una piedra

porque si me dicen algo malo

no me importara, y tambien porque

para mi, el amor es una perdida de

tiempo. Mis labios son como un

microfono, porque cuando estoy

en mi casa, canto tan alto como uno.
