This week we read the delectable “This Is Just To Say” by William Carlos Williams, in which he expertly maneuvers the “sorry, not sorry” faux-apology. As enjoyable as Williams’ poem is, it is even more fun to find out what our darling students are secretly not sorry about (mostly really delicious food). Enjoy!

I’ve taken the

probably saving

When I Was Not Really Sorry
Quincy J.
When I walked in the kitchen I saw
a slice of cake. Once I ate the
cake I knew you were disappointed. The
cake was so sweet, so yummy. I
climbed the walls as you were looking
for the last piece of cake and I am
also a monkey running in the night and
so sorry.

the turkey that
