This week we took a look at e.e. cumming’s poem, [love is more thicker than forget]. If it sounds like lousy language, it is! Made up words and all figure into this modern poem and it was with those instructions (‘use the worst grammar possible, be inventive, and show emotion), that the 8th Graders came up with these gems, pre afternoon Valentine Dance, of course! Enjoy!

Remember to forget
To stand when crawling up the walls
As was Romeo when fell Juliet
The walking standstill dolls
The sea with water run dry
Trees as tall as a pages side
The bright darkness everfied
Broken cars along for the ride
