I met Brennemann 2nd graders for the first time this week. They were curious about everything from what I was wearing, to what is a poem? and what do I think about animals? and video games? Their liveliness was much appreciated and we had fun talking about why it feels magical to wish for things. We read a wish poem written by Sanvi D., a 2nd grader from another Chicago Public School, and then students wrote their own poems. Enjoy!
