Carnival of the Animals Workshop

CPC is facilitating three poetry workshops for middle and high school students at the Boys & Girls Club in Bridgeport! Poets in Residence: Musu Bangura, Timothy David Rey, and Madison Mae Parker each designed workshops inspired by themes in Marc Bamuthi Joseph’s Carnival of the Animals, a performance in response to the events of January 6, 2021. The social justice-focused workshops engage students with ideas about the kind of world they’d like to inhabit, and what they can do to make that world a reality.
