Persona Poems- 7th Grade

This week we explored persona poems, and used the opportunity to think about what it might be like to walk in someone else’s shoes. Students took their pieces a bit further past personification and embodied, objects, places or people in order to speak in their voice. It was a tough decision this week! Enjoy these poems!

Karlo

I get

bounced everyday

I connect

with the

net all

the time

I get spun

on fingers for

a little bit

I get into others

hands for

safety

I spin

I jump

I get

lost in

hands

Everyone

looks confused no

where I

went when

I’m in the

air.

Sophia

Me miro, me

escuscho, me siento

pero no se que

me pasa.

Pueden ser los demas.

Yo siento que cuando

me hablan o me

miran, ellos me quieren

pero no les importa

cuando me tiran

mucha basura

En que estan

pansando todas

esas personas?

Me quieren o

me

odian?

Me tienen que cuidar

me tienen que

querer, soy

agua no?
