The third graders at Moos Elementary learned a hefty new vocabulary word this week: personification! Next they investigated their classroom for objects to personify. If the books suddenly came alive, what would they do? What would they say? We cast a magic spell over the room and brought these normally quiet objects to life!

Pencil
Karina L.
The pencil always dances
around the paper and it
always makes a mistake of
dancing too fast and it forgets
something that you want
and some of the pencils make
tricks and the pencil does
not want you to write what you
want.
Lamp, lamp, lamp!
Aileen G.
When you turn off the lamp it runs around
When you turn off the lamp it gets night
When you talk to the lamp it starts crying
When its morning and the lamp wakes up
it starts to whine all day
If you take the lamp to the park
it gets lost all night
If you take the lamp to the store
it wants everything
If you take the lamp to the
fair it gets wild
If you take the lamp to his f
friends house it eats a lot
