6th Grade- Personification Pt. 2

I was so excited to see how Foster Park’s 6th graders finished up their pieces using personification. This week we had poems addressed to the feeling of being mad, to stars, the earth and even the future. Enjoy this week’s poets!

Dear Mad

Mikaylah O.

Dear Mad,

Why do we get mad?

Do we have to

get mad? Why

can’t we be happy?

But no, we have

to get mad.

Mad, how old

are you???

I think that mad is sad

Is you?

How are you mad?

Are you and

life mad?

Stars

Alisah C.

Dear Star,

Why don’t you move but you are so bright? You shine in the

night, your light brightens up the sky

The sky nice and blue and the stars

fill the sky with light. How are you?

Dear Trees

Brayden R.

Dear Trees

You’re the reason I’m here

How do you give air?

You make me happy.

You make alive.

I’m glad you’re here,

because I wanna

stay alive.

Dear Earth

Aiya D.

Dear Earth,

Why do you spin around?

Girl you so colorful you smell like ocean water

I wonder what you thinking right now

you look round with alot of color

it sounds like you’re moving alot

bet you have mixed feelings of what

you need to do.

Ocean

Aiden B.

The ocean, your divine beauty

is unlike anything on earth

Your dancing seems eternal while

it only lasts for mere seconds.

I feel compelled to gaze

at you like you’re queen of this

big world.

The Future

Jayla D.

Are you in the air or are

you in the snow, do you see me

everywhere I go? How old are you,

how tall are you?  I never seen

you in real life, but it always

seems like you are in sight. Are

you in my dreams because it

always seems things in my dreams come

to life the very next day. I never

see you in sight.
