Mac n Cheese
D’Kari M.
7th Grade
Mac and cheese
not the best to some people
but it’s good to me. The
cheesy strings, the crispy top
and the melt when you dip your spoon
and get your scoop. The
crispy, orangish color, the sizzle when
it comes out the oven. When you make
it, you can’t wait to eat it. The cheese
poured in the bowl, the
milk poured through the mac, cracking
the eggs into the bowl. When it’s set on
the table, everybody is pumped and
ready to eat it. When your nana puts your
scoop on your plate, you just get
filled with joy and warmth.
Tacos

I’m eating on this food
yeah
it got me in the mood
I need a big taco
that looks like John’s shoes
yea
you know that I be rapping
I eat tacos everyday
I’m just snacking
Yea
I need some cheese on it
I warm up my taco
All I did was put Shaun’s jeans on it
Yea
I’m on the beat
I’m finna scream on it
I dropped some lettuce on the clipboard
And Ms. T got mad and put a check on it
Yea I’m done with the dissin’
tacos
that’s what my mom’s cooking in the kitchen
I put some seafood on my taco
and I ain’t even going fishin’
Dumplings
Messiah S.
7th Grade
Dumplings like 76 flavors wrapped in a blanket
when fresh steamed
make me wanna scream
sweet red bean paste
what a wonderful taste
chicken soup
make me wanna jump a
hoop
even if you take
your time
them dumplings
will be mine!
