Where I’m From

How quickly the time passes, as this is already the halfway point of the year’s Bronzeville residency! Last week, students considered origins and the ways we define where we’re from. And there’s no better way to do that than to write “I Am From” poems, inspired the poem of the same name by George Ella Lyon. We looked at an I Am From poem written by a student, (Rockelle R. in 11th grade) before students dove into their own.
