At the Chicago Poetry Center our mission is to promote poetry. We do that through hosting free, public readings at venues across Chicago, through employing Poets as teaching artists, and by bringing poetry to Chicago Public Schools through our Hands On Stanzas program.
You can support us with a donation through our donation page at any time. Or, you can always donate directly through PayPal using the button below. Please consider making a one time or recurring donation to the Poetry Center. Together we can give Chicago more poetry.

There are several ways to support the Chicago Poetry Center! Please read through the options below and be in touch with the required information to discuss opportunities. Thank you for your support.
Internships
The Chicago Poetry Center offers multiple internships supporting various ends of the center’s mission. Internships can focus on: development and fundraising, social media, audio editing, building web content, design, and analytics.
To find out more about current internship opportunities, please submit a resume and and a letter of interest explaining why this internship will be important to you, and what you hope to accomplish. Please also let us know your time commitment: what duration of time you are looking for, and how many hours per week (estimates are okay).Our positions are designed with the PCC’s needs and the intern’s skill set and interests in mind, so please be specific when telling us about yourself. Volunteer
We rely on the generous support of our volunteer base. At this point in time, we are only seeking long-term volunteers, interested in a minimum 6 month commitment, and able to share a skill: development, organization, social media, and so on. There are plenty of areas of our administrative work that we can use assistance with, so please be in touch! Please note that all volunteer work is administrative support in the office: we are not able to utilize volunteer support for our Hands On Stanzas program in the schools.
