A Reading and Discussion with Alejandro Morales

Alejandro Morales, a major voice in United States literature and a leading Chicano novelist, will read from his work and engage the audience in a vibrant discussion of his work and other literary and cultural issues.
Please join the Northeastern Illinois University community for this vital intellectual and cultural event featuring this important contemporary writer. Alejandro Morales is a prolific author whose novels include The Brick People (1988), The Rag Doll Plagues (1991), Barrio on the Edge: Caras Viejas Y Vino Nuevo (1997), and most recently The Captain of All These Men of Death (2007). His works provide important chronicles of the Latino experience in U.S. history and the historical development of the U.S. nation generally, as well as visionary projections of our social development.

The event will take place in the Golden Eagles room in the student union at Northeatsern Illinois University, located at 5500 N St Louis Ave, from 7-9 m on Thursday, April 15.
