BIG TABLE POETRY GROUP
Big Table Poetry Group, named after Poetry Center founder Paul Carroll's ground breaking literary magazine Big Table provides a way for Chicagoans to workshop their poetry based on the college workshop model without the time commitment or the costs.
All that is required of Big Table Poetry Group participants is a current Poetry Center Membership, a commitment to the Big Table Poetry Group workshop code (put together by The Poetry Center and past workshop participants to ensure that all participants are respected for where they are in their work so they get the help they need to improve their work) and a commitment to attend the workshops on a regular basis.
Big Table Poetry Group's Fall/Winter eight-week session starts Tuesday, October 11, 2005 and meets on Tuesday every other week until January 31th, 2006.
