Andrei Codrescu
The American Dream
Andrei Codrescu has published poetry, memoirs, fiction, and essays. His volume of poetry Alien Candor: Selected Poems 1970-1997 was published by Black Sparrow Press. His first book of poetry, License to Carry a Gun (1970), was published by The Poetry Center founder Paul Carroll, as Volume Three in the Big Table Series of Younger Poets. Codrescu is a regular commentator on National Public Radio. His novels, The Blood Countess and Messiah, were national bestsellers.
